Cruise Review of Carnival Destiny
The Destiny is an old but newly refurbished cruise ship. It still looks good and is very clean. It has efficient, friendly and helpful staff. The room we occupied was big. It has plenty of closet space and hangers to store our clothes. The bed was comfortable and had plenty of pillows. The balcony has a very nice view of the ocean. It has a good size and one can just sit around comfortably and relax while enjoying the beautiful view of the pristine ocean. The bathroom is not that big but the shower is roomy. It has a good water pressure and lots of hot water. Our room steward was friendly and helpful. He made it a point that all our needs were met. He made sure that our room was always well-kept and towels, ice and water were always replenished.
The dishes in the main dining rooms were very good. They had a varied menu and were changed daily. The beef short ribs were to die for. The mouth-watering chocolate meting cake is a must for dessert. If you want to try out the buffet, the one at the Lido deck has a number of delicious dishes to choose from. At the Lido deck, you can also try out the tasty dishes at the deli, oriental counter and pizzeria. There is also an ice cream and yogurt bar. 24-hour room service is also available for those who just want to eat in their own rooms.
For entertainment, the guests can listen to reggae music at the Lido deck while at the casino, acoustic tunes are played. If you want to just sit around and listen to piano music, the Lobby bar is the place to go. There are talented and funny comedians to make you laugh and have a good time. If you are feeling lucky, there is a casino where you can play different games and try your luck.
