Disney Wonder is an amazingly designed ship of Disney Cruise Line specially constructed for the enjoyment of families. Its exterior design is practically the same as its sister ship, the Disney Magic but its interior is characterized by the splendor and inscrutable grandeur of the sea, with its eddying wave patterns, marble highlights and Venetian glass that provides radiance to the Art Nouveau décor. A cruise on board Disney Wonder is a truly wonderful and stimulating experience for its 2,700 guests.

Disney Wonder is an ideal cruise ships for families. Its cabins are bigger than average cruise ship cabins and are configured for the comfort and convenience of families. Disney Wonder’s biggest edge as a family cruise ship is the wide variety of options open to families for spending time collectively as a family or spending it separately. It has different children’s programs divided according to age bracket from toddlers to teens.
On board Disney Wonder, guests will find the convenience of the inspired rotational dining to their advantage. They will experience dining, at least twice, in all of the three Disney Wonder’s main restaurants; Animator’s Palate, Parrot Cay and Triton’s. Animator’s Palate is a child’s dream of a restaurant with its animation theme, while Parrot Cay is a lively Caribbean inspired restaurant all the way from the menu right down to the sound of the tweeting of birds. Triton’s, on the other hand is a formal dining room elegantly decorated with stained glass walls that serve Continental dishes with a French twist.

Entertainment on board Disney Wonder is also a cut above the rest with a balance mix of wholesome entertainment for the whole family such as newly released Disney movies for both the young and the adults shown on the traditional movie house, Buena Vista Theater ; family basketball tournaments; and karaoke. Adult –oriented evening entertainments happened on Route 66 where guests will find Wave Bands, the ship’s dance club; Diversion, a sports bar; Cadillac Lounge, a piano bar; and the Walt Disney Theater, a 977 seat theater showing some of the best performances on board a cruise ship.

Disney Wonder is the second cruise ship designed and built for families so you can take a Disney cruise on one of the two cruise ships one is Disney Wonder owned by the Disney Cruise Line operating out of Port Carnival, FL at its own Disney Cruise Line Terminal. It is not in your face Disney but more discreet so everyone and not only Disney fanatics will enjoy a family orientated cruise.

Disney Wonder has 10 passenger decks with the 11th deck as the Stack/Aloft which is a space created for teens aged 13 – 17. This is their own private club so to speak with comfy chairs and MP3 stations and also has on offer soft drinks at no charge and smoothies. The cruise ship is 964 feet long and weights 83,000 tons. It can carry 2,400 guests. It began operating in 1999. It was created, designed and fully intended to operate as a family oriented cruise ship and has family friendly features such as split baths. Most staterooms can hold 4 people but it does have some family rooms that can contain 6 people. 4Forty four percent of the outside cabins have verandas which is nice for children to play outside the rooms.

There are three pools, one for younger kids, a family oriented pool and one for adults only. The spa has a rain forest steam room where younger kids are not allowed. There is also a nursery for kids up to the age of 3. There are dozens of kid related programs by age groups. There is an Oceaneer Club for kids from 3 – 7 with a supervised program. Then there are supervised areas and various programs for kids up to the age of 17 in various age groups. It has cruises to Alaska, Bahamas, Mexican Riviera, LA to Vancouver, BC and a Panama Canal tour.
